NYC CNC Training Class (April 27-29; Weekday)

This three day class will be focused on the operation and use of CAD, CAM and CNC milling machines!  Focus will be Fusion360 CAD & CAM and use of Tormach CNC mills.

Students will be responsible for travel and accommodations to Zanesville, OH.  Closest airport CMH (Columbus) is about an hour away.

 Draft Curriculum:

  • Introduction of class and attendees
  • Safety
  • Make our first Part (basic):
  • Now with a part “under your belt”, discuss:
    • Fusion360 CAD
    • Fusion360 Drawings
    • Fusion360 CAM
    • Prepping raw material
    • Recommended Tools to own
      • Must have
      • Useful but not mandatory
      • Luxury
    • Machining
      • PathPilot
      • Edge Finding
      • Setting up tools, tool holders, tool heights
      • Setting Tool Heights
      • How to use a hammer
    • Fixturing and Work holding
      • Clamps, vises, fixture, jigs, plates,e tc
    • Measuring tools, quality control
    • When Not to use CNC
    • Deburring & Post-op procedures
    • Future & Ongoing Resources
      • Recommended videos, websites, books, products
    • Discussion of Machine Shop Business Practices, Getting started, etc

Refund Policy:
Cancellation 30 Days or More in advance of class:  100% Refund
Cancellation within 30 days: 50% Refund
No Show:  No refund, but we will offer 50% discount on one future class

  1. The Dayton Hamvention will be held in Dayton OH May 20 to May 22. I s there a possibility you can schedule a comprehensive class session either before or after this event?

  2. For next one can it in NY city close to the GW bridge or near Lincoln tunnel.

  3. I am interested in attending this training but it this to far to travel and expansive to register for this tranning.
